The Harrisons continue to serve ships and lead Special Events, but they also are blessed to work with others dedicated to the mission of HSM. Meet our Ministry Team!

Mark and Laura Walker, Directors of Crew Ministry

Mark, a retired corporate executive in the Oil & Gas and Insurance industries, now serves as an ordained Deacon in his local church. He is also a Group Leader in Bible Study Fellowship International (BSF) and a leader in his local chapter of The Gideons International. Laura retired from a large publishing company as an outside sales representative. She leads women’s Bible studies in her home, including pioneering the use of The Bible in 10 Days for small group study. Mark and Laura love to travel and are passionate about supporting the men and women who work aboard cruise ships through the Crew Ministry of High Seas Ministries. The Walkers live in San Antonio and have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Ken and Joy Hodson, Cruising Colleagues

Ken and Joy live in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Ken is retired from a career in Information Technology, and Joy from teaching school. Both Ken and Joy worship at Wollongong Baptist Church, a multi-ethnic church, and have served in children's ministries, Bible Studies and Office Administration. They started cruising in 2014 and, after attending the Harrisons’ Bible study on board the Emerald Princess, joined HSM as Cruising Colleagues. Since that time, they’ve represented HSM on two world cruises, leading worship, Bible studies, and creating a vibrant onboard Christian community.

George and Dorothy Waddell, Cruising Colleagues

George and Dorothy live in Berry, New South Wales, Australia. A graduate of Wollongong University with a degree in Commerce, George has certificates of Theology and Preaching from Moore Theological College and Sydney Missionary and Bible College. Dennis and Linda Turnbough, Cruising Colleagues

Dennis and Linda have traveled and lived throughout the world. Linda was born in Madrid into a military family and later worked as a stewardess for United Airlines. Dennis joined the Air Force after college, where he flew fighters and later became a commercial pilot for Continental Airlines. Both born and raised in Christian homes, they have grown in their faith together as active members of their local church, where Linda sings in the choir. Dennis’ study of eschatology led him to author a book on Revelation, a special area of expertise that he brings to the HSM team. The Turnboughs live in San Antonio and have three children and six grandchildren.
